 How is RFID implemented?

This is the case of a renowned Italian Camp, which in recent years has introduced the use of RFID Wristbands made of silicone, model ‘Slim Watchy’ to make it even easier and safer for little guests to venture inside its location. The peculiarities of the bracelet are that it is waterproof and adaptable to various sizes thanks to the strap on which there are numerous holes as well as a ‘slim’ size that goes perfectly with this context.

On the first day of the Camp, the child receives a personal Tag to wear on his wrist. By being uniquely associated with child’s profile within the management system, the transponder allows the access to certain areas of the facility – such as swimming pools, fields reserved for individual sports, locker rooms, and storage areas where equipment is stored at the end of the day – while the child will be denied the ability to enter those areas judged to be at risk and in which transit is not permitted. 

The operation is very simple and automatic: by bringing one’s RFID wristband (equipped with a unique code) close to the special readers, located at strategic points, the gates will be opened where permitted. The ability to use the Tag to open lockers and storage rooms is a plus that allows the child to be more free and carefree, effectively eliminating the risk of losing keys while in the facility.

Therefore, the implementation of RFID technology has given significant benefits to customers, radically improving operational efficiency, safety and convenience of summer camp.
